Join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness (CCMC) on Monday, April 15, for a staff briefing on the role of insurance investments in the U.S. economy.

Insurance companies play an important and unique role in our capital markets. Insurance companies finance long-term investments that are especially important for public infrastructure modernization, real-estate development, agriculture, and financing for a wide variety of business activities. To build off our event on March 5, where we released our paper, The Role of Insurance Investment in the U.S. Economy, we will discuss various perspectives about investments in the U.S. economy and how these could be frustrated by misguided policies such as inappropriate capital standards, bank-like regulation, and other barriers to providing products that help manage risk.
