Description: CCMC calls for the Bureau to withdraw the Proposed Rule. The Bureau’s Proposed Rule is fatally flawed given that it permits unprecedented dissemination of confidential supervisory information (“CSI”) and silences recipients of civil investigative demands (“CIDs”). These aspects of the Proposed Rule are unjustified, would depart from the best practices of regulatory government, and ultimately would injure consumers by imposing undue burdens on financial services companies.
