Description: CCMC and ILR submitted comments to the CFPB regarding their “Telephone Survey Exploring Consumer Awareness of and Perceptions Regarding Dispute Resolution Provisions in Credit Card Agreements, ” that will be a part of the Bureau’s boarder study on various dispute resolution systems, including arbitration.  CCMC and ILR previously submitted comments regarding the overall study. Not only does this letter reiterate that arbitration as a system for resolving disputes is extremely important for both businesses and consumers but it also highlights the fact that the Bureau has failed to provide transparency regarding the boarder study plan. The letter also details specific concerns with the proposed telephone survey.
