Description: The federal government made the student loan market what it is today. It consequently cannot now disclaim responsibility for every problem in the marketplace or, conversely, suggest that the private sector deserves all the blame. Rather, the Bureau and the rest of the federal government should work collaboratively with its chosen partners and other industry stakeholders to achieve our shared goal of supporting Americans pursuing higher education.
